As some of our loyal followers (Hi, Mom) have noticed, our blog-output has until recently dried up. The last number of months have been extremely busy with contract work. We wrapped up a validation study for the Air Force Security Forces Command in 2011 while starting another for the Department of Energy. FitForce is
currently working under a service agreement between DOE and Innovative Technology Partnerships in Albuquerque, NM to develop and validate standards for the Office of Secure Transportation. Using a similar contracting vehicle, we have teamed up with PDRI to assist in identifying standards for Customs and Border Patrol's Tactical Unit (BORTAC).
We are very excited about these developments and look forward to long, productive relationships with both ITP and PDRI.
On the FF homefront, we will begin work on a very large project with the Massachusetts Department of Corrections to develop standards for two or more occupational classifications within the DOC. This has been a long time coming due to legal action initiated by the US Department of Justice prior to our contract award with the DOC. Much more to follow!
Finally, we have several Coordinator Courses scheduled:
Carlise (PA) Police Department, April 16-18
Suffolk County (Boston) Sheriffs Department, April 18-20
Dallas Police Department, April 30- May 2
And we are exploring the possibility of bringing our training to Seattle in May.
Just to put an exclamation point on this post; I am working on re-writing our manuals and as part of that exercise, I have enlisted in a blog challenge that will ensure entries to the blog become more frequent than every six months!
