There are few things worse than being sore to the point that you can't train the way you want, except maybe soreness to the point that walking the way you normally would is impaired! Lifestyle habits can contribute mightily to that soreness in ways we haven't really imagined until recently. One of the culprits behind this condition may be inflammation.
Systemic inflammation has received a lot press in the last couple of years. As opposed to the localized version which may present symptoms when you twist an ankle, systemic inflammation can cause muscle soreness and joint stiffness making it difficult to train or to recover from training. In a much more critical scenario, systemic inflammation can lead to degenerative chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.
